About The Role

The HVAC Lead Installer will be responsible for leading a 2-3 person installation crew to deliver a variety of heat pump installations at high quality. You will be responsible for a company vehicle including the cleanliness, stock, and organization.

As a HVAC Lead Installer you will:

  1. Install and Commission residential Air Source Heat Pump systems – high quality, on-time, on-scope, and on-budget.
  2. Lead and train less experienced installers and apprentices. 
  3. Work with management to implement learnings and process improvements. 

About You

  • You’re EPA and NATE certified or willing to get ASAP.
  • Expert in Heat Pump System Installation & Commissioning – Specifically you’ve worked with Mitsubishi Cold Climate / Hyper Heat Ducted and Ductless Systems. (experience w/ heat kits and lockout kits preferred)
  • Knowledgeable about Building Science and Home Comfort – You know and display a passion for improving home comfort through electrification. Experience with duct systems, humidification, smart thermostats, etc.
  • Team Player – You work well with management, are a collaborator, and enjoy training your less experienced team members. 
  • Process-Oriented – You are willing to follow processes and procedures, including but not limited to commissioning process and documentation. 
  • Continuous Improvement – You will provide input on how to best improve our current processes and provide ideas on how to continue to improve on quality and efficiency. 
  • Digitally-Savvy – You will use our internal tools such as Slack, Pipedrive, Asana, Google Drive, etc.
  • Fast Learner – You can deal with and manage significant levels of ambiguity, appropriate to our startup realities.  You’re a fast learner who holds yourself to high expectations (and meets them).
  • Passionate About Electrification – You’re passionate about impacting sustainable change in the future of energy via home comfort and clean, energy-efficient technology.
  • Make Us Better – You have a commitment to building a diverse, equitable workplace and seek to make our company more inclusive.

Nice to Have, Though Not Required

  • Familiarity with Mitsubishi’s Diamond System Builder
  • You’re F32 – National Standard Residential Mechanical – Class C licensed
  • Willing and able to do some residential service tech work as required
  • Interest and ability to train our internal team and installer-partners

Total Compensation

  • Annual base salary of $90,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience and with opportunities for quality based bonuses
  • Stock options, commensurate with experience and in line with internal equity bands
  • Medical, dental insurance covered at 75% for employees
