About The Role

We are excited to add a Marketing Specialist to our team! Reporting to the Head of Special Projects and working closely with external agencies and freelancers, you will be responsible for creating demand for Elephant’s products. This will entail driving follower growth and engagement across multiple social platforms as well as event planning and execution. We’re looking for someone who has experience developing digital content, growing consumer audiences, and driving leads into a sales funnel.  Key responsibilities include, though are not limited to:

  • Create compelling, approachable content across all owned media channels, including writing and publishing social and original blog posts.
  • Maintain the content calendar and own scheduling using our social media tool.
  • Engage with the Elephant Energy customer base and the broader climate-curious community, actively interacting with relevant creators and communities focused on climate, energy efficiency, and home services.
  • Draft, send, and manage emails, including newsletters and lead nurture campaigns, to maintain engagement and drive conversions.
  • Collaborate with vendor partners on the creation of assets, ads, videos, and landing pages that drive awareness and lead activation
  • Create, update, and refine sales materials based on feedback from Home Comfort Advisors, leadership, and market insights.
  • Manage event calendar and preparations, including vendor coordination and supplies.
  • Actively perpetuate an inclusive, equitable, collaborative working environment in which psychological safety comes first.

About You

  • You have 1-4 years of professional experience work in direct to consumer marketing
  • You are keenly aware of social media trends and platforms and you’re passionate about social media and community management
  • You have an eye for design and familiarity with Photoshop or Figma for creating visually appealing content
  • You are an ambitious self-starter and a relentless problem-solver. We are a lean and nimble team that carries a can-do attitude (no task is too big – or small)
  • You have excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt voice and tone for different platforms
  • You are passionate about the problem we’re trying to solve.

Nice to Have, Though Not Required

  • Video editing skills would be a valuable bonus, although not required
  • Experience working on a distributed team, familiarity with remote communication tools
  • Experience in the home services, renovation, or construction industry

Total Compensation

  • Annual base salary of $65,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience and in line with internal compensation bands 
  • Stock options, commensurate with experience and in line with internal equity bands
  • Medical, dental insurance covered at 75% for employees
  • 401k with 6% company match
