Solutions
Replace your AC. Ditch the gas. Breathe cleaner air.
From heat pumps and mini splits to heat pump water heaters, we upgrade your home from start to finish.
Heat pumps & mini splits
A heat pump (aka a mini split) is a modern AC that also heats — it moves air instead of burning anything, so your home stays comfortable year-round and your indoor air stays clean even on Spare the Air days.
Heat pump water heaters
A heat pump water heater uses 2–3× less energy than a gas or electric tank heater. Pair it with your new heat pump and you could eliminate your gas bill entirely — with available LADWP and city rebates covering a big chunk of the cost.

FAQ
How can we help?
We've answered thousands of questions. Here are the most common ones:
A heat pump does everything your AC does — plus heating. If your AC is dying and you also have a gas furnace, a heat pump replaces both in one system. Most LA homes with existing ductwork can swap their old AC for a heat pump with little to no duct modification. We assess your existing setup in the first consultation at no cost.

Your rebates depend on which utility serves your home. Here's what's available right now:
- LADWP customers (most of LA): up to $2,500/ton, plus TECH Clean California and SCAQMD GO ZERO.
- Glendale (GWP) customers: up to $13,000+ stacking heat pump, water heater, and panel upgrade rebates — the most generous stack in the region.
- Burbank (BWP) customers: $7,000–$9,000+ through BWP and TECH Clean CA programs.
- Pasadena (PWP) customers: $170/ton from PWP, but SCAQMD GO ZERO adds up to $3,000. We pair this with 0% financing to close the gap.
We handle every application — you don't fill out a single form. We also stay current on which programs are funded vs. waitlisted and tell you upfront.
Yes — and most of our LA customers install a heat pump after their AC fails during a heat wave, and they never go back to traditional AC. Modern heat pumps at 97°F+ still outperform standard AC because they're designed to move heat efficiently even under extreme load. We size every system for your home's actual square footage and sun exposure — no guesswork, no oversized units.
Yes — and this is one of the top reasons LA homeowners in Pasadena, Glendale, and Burbank are upgrading now. After the January 2025 fires, we saw a significant increase in inquiries from homeowners who realized their gas furnace was adding combustion byproducts to already-compromised air. A heat pump has zero indoor combustion. Paired with a MERV-13 or higher filter and well-sealed ductwork, it can meaningfully reduce your exposure to outdoor smoke particles during fire events.
We typically schedule within 1–2 weeks of your consultation. For urgent heat-related situations — like an AC failure during a heat wave — call us directly at (626) 532-4009 and we'll do our best to prioritize. We know how miserable a hot LA house can be, and we move fast when it matters.
Often, yes. Heat pump water heaters are highly efficient and can reduce energy use compared to traditional systems. With available rebates, many LA homeowners find them cost-effective to install and run.
Yes — and we've done it hundreds of times. LA's housing stock includes everything from 1920s Spanish bungalows and Pasadena Craftsmans to 1950s Valley ranch homes and 1960s post-war tracts. Each one is different. In your consultation, your Home Comfort Advisor assesses your existing ductwork, electrical panel, and square footage before recommending a system. We never spec a system we haven't designed for your specific home.
Yes. We have Spanish-speaking team members and can support homeowners in both Spanish and English throughout the process — from your first questions to installation and beyond.
