About The Role

We are excited to add a Head of Marketing to our team! Reporting to our co-founder, the Head of Marketing will be an integral member of our leadership team, responsible for planning and implementing Elephant’s full cycle of marketing, including brand marketing, PR and communications, demand generation, lead and customer acquisition, sales support, and retention. This role will immediately influence the representation of the brand through communications, content creation, digital channels, and events. As we grow and evolve our business, we will look to you to lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy.

In this role you will manage a small and growing in-house team, oversee consultant relationships, and cultivate strategic partnerships to extend our reach and drive customer acquisition. This is a key hire in which we seek a combination of creativity, enthusiasm, strategic thinking, and the will to execute as we continue to build our business. Success in the role is measured by funnel volume, pipeline throughput, cost of acquisition, and revenue through demand generation campaigns, sales enablement success, and increased customer engagement. Responsibilities include, though are not limited to:

  • Own and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to deliver on growth expectations
  • Position us as a leader in home electrification, driving awareness, engagement, and conversion
  • Lead customer acquisition across online and offline channels, including SEO, paid media, social media, email, content, events, and partnerships (in conjunction with Business Development)
  • Own and build upon brand visual strategy and tone of voice; top-level management of PR and communications (both internal and external)
  • Develop and execute a content strategy to create compelling, relevant content that resonates with our target audience, driving traffic, engagement, and lead generation
  • Establish and build on existing marketing processes, workflows, and systems to enable efficient and scalable marketing operations, including marketing automation, analytics, and reporting
  • First 6 months: deliver on aggressive targets to kick off 2025, including 1) dramatic acceleration of lead generation, 2) hire, onboard, and develop marketing team, 3) launch 1-2 new markets

About You

  • ~10 years experience in marketing leadership, including experience scaling a start up from early-stage to rapid growth
  • Demonstrated experience driving customer and lead acquisition for high consideration, high value purchases
  • Experience in at least one of the following: home services, residential renewable energy, high consideration or high dollar value consumer categories
  • Track record of executing integrated marketing initiatives that build brand identity and deliver on the brand proposition
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, engage, and influence diverse stakeholders
  • Highly entrepreneurial,not afraid to roll-up-the-sleeves and work side by side with their  team
  • Passion for the problem we are solving

Nice to Have, Though Not Required

  • Experience working on a distributed team 
  • Board Presentation experience
  • Media training and experience engaging with press as the face of brand

Total Compensation

  • Annual base salary of $165,000-$200,000 commensurate with experience and in line with internal compensation bands 
  • Stock options, commensurate with experience and in line with internal equity bands
  • Medical, dental insurance covered at 75% for employees
  • 401k with 6% company match
