Heat Pumps

    Safety

The most energy-efficient way to keep your home both cozy and cool.

Heat Pumps cost less to operate, provide more even heating and cooling, and best of all, don’t produce any noxious fumes in your home.

Your furnace and central air conditioning, which have a life expectancy of about 15-20 years. Note: window unit AC units have a shorter life span of about 5-10 years.

By transferring heat from one place to another, rather than generating heat like a furnace does. In the winter, this means transferring heat from the outside air into your house to warm it. In the summer, heat pumps do exactly the opposite – transferring cold from the outside air into your house to cool it.

    • Electric cooling and heating is 300% more energy efficient than traditional systems, lowering your footprint and utility bills
    • Homes with heat pumps sell for 4 to 7% more, compared to similar homes with traditional HVAC systems
    • Heat pumps improve indoor air quality due to superior purification capabilities and the elimination of fossil fuels

Heat Pump Water Heater

Water heating has never been this cost-effective.

Save $200-$300 per year by switching to an electric heat pump water heater.

Your current water heater, which has a normal life expectancy of about 10-15 years.

Heat pump water heaters pull heat out of the surrounding air to heat water, rather than relying on electricity or gas to generate heat. In other words, they move energy instead of generating it. This is similar to a refrigerator, an air conditioner, and heat pumps used for space heating and cooling.

  • 2-3 times more efficient than traditional water heaters, lowering your home’s footprint
  • Lower utility bills by 50% or more due to reduced energy usage
  • Improved safety and air quality by removing gas combustion in your home

Induction Range

The best way to cook. Faster. Safer. Easier to clean.

This isn’t your grandfather’s electric range. Induction is the future with its pin-point accurate control and complete elimination of noxious fumes. It’s also by far the safest option for children.

Your current cooking range, which has a life expectancy of 10-15 years.

Induction cooktops transfer heat directly to the pan through magnetism, creating a more efficient and safer cooking experience.

  • Up to 125% more energy efficient than traditional cooktops
  • Enhanced safety by removing open flames – zero risk of burns and decreased fire risk
  • Improved air quality. About 13% of current childhood asthma is attributable to gas stove use.

A full tank of 'gas', every morning.

Electric cars are simply better. Quieter, faster, less smelly, and better for the environment. Charge your EV at home with our electric car chargers.

Frequent trips to the gas station (or EV charger).

An in-home EV charger fills your EV battery much more quickly by operating at higher voltage and amperage than is possible from a normal outlet. Instead of 8-12 amps from a normal outlet, an EV charger runs at 32 amps or more. Different EV chargers have different maximum speeds, measured in amperage.

  • Typically 2-3 times cheaper than charging at a commercial EV station
  • More convenient charging to better fit your lifestyle and commute
  • Better for your EV’s battery health, allowing it to stay on the road for longer

Weatherization Upgrades

    Money
  • Increase
    Comfort

More cozy, lower heating and cooling bills.

If your home is old or drafty, we often recommend insulation and air sealing, which help to make heating and cooling distribution more even in your home, improve air quality, and reduce your energy bills.

Nothing! Rather, we add on to your home’s existing insulation infrastructure.

Insulation slows the flow of heat loss from the interior to the exterior of your home. Air sealing closes up holes and cracks which enable heat and cold to enter and escape your home. Both techniques help to prevent drafts, leakage, and heat loss.

  • About 15% lower heating and cooling usage than non-weatherized homes
  • Better air quality inside your home, with fewer allergens and irritants
  • High ROI – $0.90-$1.40 savings on energy bills for every $1 spent on weatherization

Affording Your Upgrades

While modern electric technologies can cost a bit more upfront, they save you money over time. On average, electric homeowners see $1,050-2,585 in home energy savings each year – meaning, these upgrades pay for themselves over time!

We are here to ensure that you can electrify at the lowest cost. All of our customers have qualified for rebates and incentives. We wrangle all of the rebates you are eligible for (from your state, town, and utility provider) so you don’t have to worry about tracking them down.

Rebates and Incentives

You may have heard about the Inflation Reduction Act (frequently referred to as the IRA) and the accompanying High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Act (HEEHRA for short). This funding offers many hugely helpful incentives that can significantly offset the cost of your upgrades.

To learn more about IRA rebates and incentives, check out our guide here.

To determine your personal eligibility, we also recommend this useful Inflation Reduction Act calculator from Rewiring America (the leading electrification nonprofit in the US).
