The way we heat/cool our homes, power our vehicles, and cook our meals is antiquated: we take for granted that we burn fossil fuels in our homes to keep them comfortable. There is a better way, and massive change is imminent.
Elephant Energy is building a platform that helps homeowners confidently electrify. Or said differently, upgrade their homes with heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, induction, energy efficiency, and EV charging. We are growing quickly, fueled by the ever increasing demand from customers for more comfortable and sustainable homes, as well as a strong tailwind from the Inflation Reduction Act.

Role
We are seeking a highly motivated MBA student to join our team as an intern for 15-20 hours a week. This role will have the opportunity to work on real, mission-critical projects and gain valuable operating experience at a venture-funded climate-tech start up.
As a MBA Growth Intern, you will:
- Work closely with senior leadership across a couple ‘special projects’ (that will be shaped by your prior experience and personal goals), such as:
- Market Expansion
- Customer Acquisition (channel and paid strategies)
- Supply chain management and key channel vendor relationships
- New product launches
- Voice of the Customer research
As a startup, we are seeking people who are ready to roll up their sleeves, immerse themselves in the fundamentals of building a new venture, and spend the majority of their time executing.
About You (General Requirements):
- Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite.
- A bias for action: you’re a builder, a go-getter, a genuine self-starter; you get stuff done – promptly.
- You’re a fast learner who holds yourself to high expectations (and meets them).
- You can manage significant levels of ambiguity, appropriate to our startup realities.
- You’re passionate about changing the world via home energy-efficient technology.
- You have a commitment to building a diverse, equitable workplace and seek to make our company more inclusive.
- You have a curious, innovative mindset.
Nice to Have (Pluses):
- Working knowledge of or interest in building science, electrification, construction, energy, or the trades.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Previous work experience in renewable energy, consulting, tech, or banking.
